Slingshot Hip-Hop

After an unexpected late acceptance into this year’s Sundance Film Festival, “Slingshot Hip-Hop” director Jackie Salloum realized that she needed a nip/tuck on her site. Having worked with both the film and myself in other capacities, Walid “Free Habib” Zaiter, put Jackie and I in touch, and the three of us got down on a new site. Walid came with the banners, Jackie cooked up the content, and I threw down on the CMS.

Online Grow Room

untitled-1

Drew Grow’s website was a collaborative effort between album artist and tour photographer, Angel Davis, myself, and original Pastor’s Wife Jeremiah Hayden. Looking back, this site was challenging, but it came together so quickly and seamlessly that it didn’t hardly seem like work at all. I think that we did a good job of implementing Drew’s vision for the website, by setting a mood and leaving a bunch of unanswered questions.

Dialtone

DialtoneThis mix came together in the years following my divorce as an outlet for some of the feelings that I was having about the whole situation. As you can imagine, there’s some intense sh*t in here about heartbreak and betrayal, but there’s also several moments of empowerment and self-determination to balance it all out. Check it out below, or download the file and artwork.

Free Habib

Free Habib

Free Habib started off as a rather tounge-in-cheek political campaign that was aimed at “freeing” Walid Zaiter from the hassles he had been having with law enforcement at that time, particularly those regarding his public art pieces. As the fanfare around his anti-Columbus and pro-Palestine pieces diminished, Free Habib was slowly re-imagined as a home for Walid’s production reel and personal art portfolio. Like the first incarnation of this dot com, Walid did all of the design work, and then handed the originals off to me for programming.

UPDATE : Free Habib has been reformatted, and now operates as an Indexhibit site.

Thieves - You Hold The World Like A Gun

After the premature demise of Lovetron & The Intergalactic Frontline, Greg Reynaud and I started anew, under the name Thieves and Lowatt, respectively. The rise of these new monikers came as Greg started handing off some of his favorite new  tracks to me for mastering. The product of this collaboration ultimately became Lowatt’s first release, Thieves “You Hold The World Like A Gun” EP.
